Prior to joining Pisanelli Bice in 2012, Mr. Smith worked in the Las Vegas office of McCormick, Barstow, Sheppard, Wayte & Carruth LLP.

Mr. Smith practices in both state and federal court. He has handled a wide range of issues including contractual disputes, tortious interference, and defamation. Mr. Smith has also handled a number of matters in the Nevada Supreme Court.

During law school, Mr. Smith was an associate editor of the Drake Law Review. He was a research assistant for the first edition of the gaming law casebook The Law of Gambling and Regulated Gaming. Mr. Smith also worked as a student legal intern at the Iowa State Appellate Defender where he represented clients in their criminal appeals. He wrote briefs and argued in front of the Iowa Court of Appeals and Iowa Supreme Court and won reversal in front of the Iowa Supreme Court.
